Furnishing a Luxury Home
If you are fortunate enough to be working on a big budget when furnishing your home, then there are just as many things that you should think about than if you were working on a tight budget or your expensive furnishings won’t be reflected in the look of the room.
If you are furnishing a new house or updating an old room, think about what style you want to bring into the room – a chic modern design, country home or maybe French inspired – and stick to it. A mix match of styles will not show off your new beautiful furniture to its full effect.
The great thing about having a big budget is that you can still buy reasonably priced but great looking furniture, and just use more of it. In a large living room, why not put a few different display furniture pieces in the room by placing a bookcase, display cabinet and console table for a bit of variety. Our Contemporary Oak range has a beautiful bookcase, display cabinet and a simple console table. These elegant and modern pieces will give a room a consistent style and allow you to add your own touch by putting in that really expensive coffee table you’ve had your eye on for years.
There is nothing better – or more special – than furnishing a room and having just one centrepiece item that is made bespoke from a craftsman in an old fishing village in Brittany you once visited on holiday. These additions make a room your own, with your own memories and markings on it. A home will look every bit of luxury if there is a constant theme running through each room. The Contemporary Oak range has dining furniture to match the living room furniture with a beautiful sideboard with glass top and dining set with six chairs. The thick leather chairs in this set are modern and perfect luxury.
However, luxury doesn’t necessarily mean modern. A country style home can feel warm and inviting while at the same time ooze luxury and indulgence. The Rustic Oak range has some beautiful bedroom pieces, with large wardrobes and chests as well as a range of dining furniture, including a dining table and chairs . Although the centrepiece of your Rustic Oak kitchen would have to be the wonderful wine rack – sheer country luxury as long as you keep it fully stocked!
And once you’ve finished furnishing your dream home? Crack open that vintage Pol Roger and enjoy your life of luxury.
